There’s this coworker who I really enjoy working with because he has extremely good instincts around when and where to fill little gaps. I feel like I never have to ask him to do anything because he either intuits his way to the correct answer or isn’t sure and just asks. Which is literally perfect?

I must say I really enjoyed putting on my lawyer hat and being kind of really pedantic about some of the clauses in our lease.

I’ve just remembered the numerous times throughout primary school where I’d get in big trouble for “insubordination” because I was “rolling my eyes” at everything my teachers would say, when in reality it was the beginnings of a severe eye condition that would later need surgical correction lmao

I do think I’d be immortal and invincible, actually. There is an unfathomable amount of knowledge and technique to be learned that I sincerely think would be very, very difficult to become bored. Idk I’d love to be able to set myself up for an eternal lifetime and just learn EVERYTHING

Idk imagine the world if instead of maximizing short term gain at absolutely any cost we as a society sat and thought about things for a second and accepted that sometimes long term growth is good actually. Sounds like a nice place to me

Everyone always says “don’t work crazy hard at work it is NOT worth it” and i think that as a blanket statement that’s solid advice and if you’re the kind of person who needs to be told that you’re definitely giving your job more than you need to.

One thing I hope comes of all this is more restrictions placed on how long politicians can serve in America. Like it’s insane to me that when someone says “man that literal pedophile has got to go. Needs to be primaried ASAP” and ASAP is in four years and there’s nothing you can do in the meantime.

I can’t help but feel more vindicated every time a company I’ve walked away from does something shitty. It’s less that I’m ahead of the curve and more that these companies are consistently terrible and I was so used to it I didn’t really notice or care until I left and saw how bad it was

She complained to me a few months ago that she put her WHOLE life on hold while we are asleep (she insists on waking up at 6am) so i told her not to do that and if we wake up sometimes, i understand. But like smth like this happens and you go “oh shit” and fix it, you don’t let it ride, right???
I love it when my mother complains to me that i was in the kitchen heating leftovers after getting home from work and it was too noisy (the earliest I get home is 10pm) but when she’s doing a such a large load of laundry that the spin cycle is making a loud screeching sound that’s audible through

There’s something special about going onto a computer at work; it really shows me how far from the norm my home setup usually is. Our store trainer was coming around asking people to do a special training and I said sure why not because I’m a spider ass motherfucker who loves to climb ladders
