The vast array of sounds coming from my kids in the backseat of my car during a grocery run would run any self-respecting foley artist out of business.
Society makes a lot of assumptions about what being a parent really looks like, and so far the only one that has been 100% accurate has been the sheer amount of times I have to say “sit down and eat your peas”.

Can we add “Karen, with her wine” to the “Shaka, when the walls fell” realm of linguistics?

Look, I don’t CARE that it’s what they did for Fortnite. This is them getting ready to announce a tour, I swear to glob. If it was only for Fortnite they would have posted this before as a lead in to Fortnite. Did Gen Z and Gen Alpha *really* know about Daft Punk before Fortnite? Ticket sales yo.

True story: the critics hating on Tron Ares just … don’t like Tron. Which is okay, people don’t have to love Tron. But that doesn’t mean Ares is not a good Tron film. It’s my favorite of the three, and Atticus and Reznor pay its soundtrack dues to Wendy Carlos and the original film extremely well.

My most recent controversial take: Life of a Showgirl is her worst album, UNLESS all the pettyness is caked in heavy irony? But even then, the irony is bad? But - it’s okay to have bad albums. It happens.

As a tall curvy person I cannot stress how hard it is to find jeans with enough room in the crotch without being too big elsewhere. So when you find them, well, 👌

TLDR : Doctors are dumb, advocate for yourself.
Pain during a cesarean section isn’t a new problem. But for a long time, it’s been normalized. The attitude toward women's pain can be called normalization of deviance, a phrase used to explain how things that are clearly wrong come to be accepted as normal. https://trib.al/J9RPrvu

Nothing like waking up at 12:57am with heartburn, trying to remember what it was you ate before laying down, and realizing it was …. water. I am now old enough that …. water …. gives me heartburn.

With the tragic assassination of a Minnesota Democratic leader, I’m going to underline this point again.
I know there's a lot going on, but the Secretary of Homeland Security declaring that federal troops are in California and Los Angeles to "liberate" the state and city from its duly-elected leaders really is a fourteen-alarm fire.
It's mind-blowing how little attention this extraordinary statement has received. It's briefly mentioned in a couple news articles, but this MSNBC opinion piece is the only extended discussion of it I've seen: www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...
