I’ve been feeling pretty lost & directionless lately. My mom gave me some great advice. “No one told you life was going to be this way. Your jobs a joke, you are broke, your love life’s DOA. It’s like you’re always stuck in 2nd gear”. I don’t know how she comes up with this stuff but it resonates.

Out in Hillcrest last night and this guy was very obviously listening to me and my friend’s conversation. I wasn’t annoyed just confused. It wasn’t even juicy. Almost wanted to make up gossip so it was worth his while.

I was never on Twitter. Bluesky is truly my first intro to this kind of platform. I think it’s a great app. That being said I have to limit my time on here because as it stands my feed is just doom. Wish I could have experienced things here before our democracy crumbled.

An app asked how you characterize your career, I’m a gov accountant, this app didn’t have an option for finance or gov. Only semi close option was “politics” with the current political climate I hate characterizing my work as “political”, it’s not, its important regardless of the disease in office.

I think dating apps are forgetting an important filter. They have religion, politics and even height. But like, how do I filter out anyone with the same name as my dad.
