Also realized Calgary is not so unique in combining fire stations with residential housing apartments. This is a fire station combo building that’s been there for years and years. Wonder what city was the first to come up with this novel idea?

Been thinking a lot about housing lately, and noticed a whole bunch of carriage houses in East Vancouver this past weekend. Calgary folks, they are not scary. Quite cute actually. Very cool how a single plot of land suddenly doubles its efficiency.
