Oh my goodness. What a book. I am still gripping my chair from the intensity of the emotion, the story, the atmosphere. A compelling and fierce read. #TLSky

Came up with a fun activity to do with 7th graders in the #oalibrary. I called it Anatomy of a Book. They chose from a random pile on their table. Had to fill in a Form with title, author, publisher, date, foreword/prologue, index, ISBN, and pic of the cover. Easy, quick, engaging. Learning! 📚📖

I would love to hear from educators, parents, and caregivers about this. I finally took the time to listen to the entire Sold a Story podcast this week.

I have thoughts. I would love to hear yours.

I was just thinking how lucky I am that I have a student (who is graduating this year, so I will only have him for 6 more months) who will periodically walk into the library and show me a cool rock that he found. We discuss its geologic properties. How awesome is that?!

Since I have a few new followers, I guess I should post something. And maybe reintroduce myself? I am a #genx #schoollibrarian who recently deactivated my Twitter/X account because of Elonia. I am also on threads, but I'm also not thrilled with all things Zuck these days. And I like in #upstateny.

A new high school student came in looking for Nabokov, which I had. She was so excited, said her old library didn't have it so she read Crime and Punishment instead. Actually busted out laughing when she told me that. I often debate with myself the wisdom of holding onto classics. Debate over!
