This Nipponathemum flowers very late in my front garden, but frankly looks straggly and has sad and very few blooms when it does. I gave cuttings to a friend who planted in almost pure sand and it thrived. My soil is rich compost. This year the rest of my plants are being to moved to sandy soil.

I have tried to overwinter Lemon Verbena several times. The first time I almost succeeded but I didn’t realize just how late it breaks dormancy, and gave up before it could. This year, I am worried it dried out, too much. Next year I’ll grow a winter Hardy Rosemary for my zone. #lemonverbena

Fall of 2023 a friend and I moved these shrubs from a demolition and here they are the spring of 2024 looking spectacular. I can’t wait until this spring. I love them so.

Every day I would find another frog in this bucket of plants and water. The yuckier the water, the more they liked it. I think my most frogs per bucket was 6. #frogponds

A few moments of peace.

Turkeys were reintroduced in NH in 1975 and now they are everywhere and an important part of our ecosystem. I live in an old house close to the road but my back yard backs up to preserved land. This video is from the summer of 2024. I let my lawn grow long during hot dry spells.
