Nearly half of all the rural hospitals left in Missouri are at risk of closure — the proposed Medicaid cuts will likely finish them off.

Closing these hospitals not only harms the people in these communities, but it will also hasten the death of these communities.

Using the excuse of a single national security emergency, real or fake, the fascist dictator takes complete control… totalitarianism. Any courageous opposition is silenced or imprisoned.

Justice Sotomayor, writing in today's deportation case. How many times must she write, "With fear for our democracy, I dissent," before Republicans get the point? Perhaps only when, as the poem goes, they come for them.

Reminder: We are not at war with Venezuela. The people deported are not enemies. The law in question should not apply. Among the most dangerous aspects of the SCOTUS ruling is the idea that the president and his people have the right to arbitrarily determine who our enemies are.

They are snatching people off the street and sending them away to brutal prisons in foreign lands with zero due process - and they won't even bring them back when they realize a mistake was made.

That's frightening stuff for any American who actually loves their country.
