That means service members are legally barred from saying, "I am not opposed to all war, just this specific deployment."

In other words, you have to demonstrate, before a panel, that your view on *all* war has fundamentally changed since you signed your contract.

Most importantly, don't participate in (or tolerate) abuse of residents. Don't even think about raising a weapon. Make it clear to residents that you are not DHS and they will support you.

If you conscientiously object to this specific deployment to Minneapolis, a better option might be to simply be a nice person during the execution of your duties. Smile. Take friendly photos with Minneapolis residents. (ICE and CBP will hate this.)
