If you're needing a little Friday shaudenfreude...
“I told everybody: ‘I’m retired, I sit home all day. If we get any reports of ICE in the neighborhood, somebody text me, and I’ll run over on my scooter and go yell at them.’”

Trump wants new nuclear power. So far, it’s all restarts.

A judge cleared the way for Revolution Wind to keep building.

It’s a sign that Trump’s legal strategy isn’t working in his war on wind.

Why does this matter? There are still 12 lawsuits entangling 8 other offshore wind farms in America.

When it comes to blocking offshore wind projects, the Trump administration’s current legal strategy may be undermining its chance of success.

I wrapped up a ton of Clare’s reporting in this week’s newsletter, featuring the somehow-worse-than-ever war on offshore wind:
If you didn’t think President Donald Trump’s attacks on offshore wind could get worse, think again.🫠

It’s time for a Friday news round up of Trump’s new scorch-earth strategy. Buckle in. 🧵

Trump’s war on offshore wind is somehow getting worse
The White House is throwing everything it has at offshore wind, including stop-work orders, permit revocations, and baseless allegations.

A solar and wind excise tax is out. A quick end to EV incentives is in.

Here’s what clean energy provisions made the Senate-passed “big, beautiful bill.”

An unpopular excise tax is gone, but Inflation Reduction Act programs for solar, wind, EVs, and more would be rapidly phased out if the proposal becomes…

I blocked and downvoted so much of this stuff a few months ago on TikTok but once again I'm getting teenagers doing tumblr-esque pro-ED content, it's so nasty.
The amount of explicitly pro-ED content on Instagram reels lately in particular is sort of insane, and in my experience Insta actively promotes it even to users who do not follow or engage with any content about weight or even “fitness.”
In Liv Schmidt’s subscriber-only group chat, her followers — some of them in high school — encourage one another to achieve their weight-loss goals.
