Yesterday the dog had a dental procedure in Livonia that took most of the afternoon so I took myself to the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn. It was lovely! Since most Arab migration to the US has happened in the past 100 years there are SO MANY personal mementos and stories.

Saw many trees today, but not many with fruit!!! Could either be males, or females that got hit by a disease or well-timed drought. Trail was still nice though, 18 miles plus a hike in the woods on a non-bike path

🖥️🧬🧪 I am having an Issue where I cannot for the life of me figure out a good kmer size for analyzing the D.virginiana genome (caveat: have only tried on one genotype so far). The only size GenomeScope likes is 15mers, and the spectrum still looks like this:
