Really enjoyed a weekend full of training in Singing for Lung Health and Sing To Beat Parkinson's. Really interesting to see where there is and isn't crossover in the approaches and to start planning to set up some groups in the Glasgow area!

Spent a really interesting morning training in Singing For Lung Health with The Cheyne Gang. Was really taken with this quote shared by @geographysings.bsky.social about the power of blending into a community of voices.

At the ALT conference today leading a drop-in lunchtime choir session. What a joy!
I've led a few of these & everyone really seems to get a lift out of them alongside the busy conference programme - I TOTALLY recommend adding these as networking/wellbeing sessions

Had a wonderful day running a workshop and stall on menopause & the voice at Stirling Science Festival! Loved seeing some competitive couples going head to head on the Truth or Falsetto game & chating with folks about the various effects of menopause on their voice.

Interesting to see these range changes during menopause. The study found singers experienced a drop in average high pitch range during perimenopause, but that this returned to its original range post-menopause for singers on HRT, and dropped lower for those not on HRT.
