Statewide, Oregon will lose 822.8 million or 8.3% of our education budget. Our schools are already under funded.

This is an incredible resource.
Here is what Oregon will miss out on if federal funding for school is cut.

Spent some time today cutting invasive English Ivy off if an old Oak tree.

This will be an ongoing project for some time.

Happy January 20th.

I just downloaded photos from my phone.
263 photos, so far this year. In six days.
Looks like the year is off to a good start.

This Grand Fir seedling and 6 of his friends just got moved because the were growing too close to the fence.

I am slowly adding books from my career teaching art to middle and high students to Abe Books, so they can find a new home.
Find them at our Four Oceans Press shop. www.abebooks.com/servlet/Stor...

We need to do a series called “Whose hole is that? For things we find around the farm.

This just appeared today in the chickens yard. It is about 1/2 inch by 2 inches. It is at least eight inches deep before any turns - measured with a stick.

Planes like this fly over our farm all the time. They seem to cut their engines and then turn them back on.

Why do they do that?

There was a second slightly smaller one about 20 feet away. It emitted brown dust when kicked.

The dust was similar to the dust from slime molds we have seen in our garden.

Mushroom ID help!

Found this on our hill in a grassy area 20 feet from a group of Douglas Firs. We are in NW Oregon.

It is 12-14 inches high, maybe 4-6 inches across. Shoe in video is men’s 10.5.

I think it has to be a mushroom fruiting body, but can’t match it on the internet.

Goats will only go in their new room if we are in there, too.

It is hard to get shots that aren’t blurry when these flowers are so tiny.

We are pretty sure there is a grapevine behind all that blackberry. Willow is on the job.
