In any case, (many) people in their 30s have had a double whammy of loan repayments and childcare costs in the last few years. I'm not surprised it's getting more attention.

Post 2012 fees obviously worse in both amounts and interest rates etc. But I don't know how many of the 2006-2012 £3000 fees students have paid off their loans. Not lots, but I'm only guessing from people I know.

Or possibly relatively senior journalists in their late 30s/early 40s with loans? (Although my generation's loans were not quite as punitive.)

I don't know! Mine's usually more like an expanding circle. It starts in my central vision and spreads. It's like looking through broken glass. I was very surprised when I saw it in art too (I can't find the artist who paints these but I will try to find out)

I used to get these regularly too (ocular migraines). I'm not sure I've had one since I got pregnant the first time, but I obviously wouldn't suggest that as a solution.

A truly classic example of the genre.

It my hometown, there was a Waterstone's and a bookshop called Ottakar's. When Waterstone took over Ottakar's, we still called it Ottakar's. Otherwise you would be meeting someone at completely the wrong end of the high street (before mobiles were common).

It was called Ballare.
