Our WI committee will be talking about how we move forward after the federation’s announcement last week regarding trans inclusion at our next meeting in January. But personally, I think we should leave the federation and boldly go out on our own.

We’ve had so many members over our ten years as a WI who don’t fit the conventional idea of what a woman looks like. Were they trans? I don’t know and I don’t care, but I *do know* that they were/are valued members of our group.

I’d love to buy it for what *I* think it’s worth…

Who knew that my stupid silly life was so fragile.

Suddenly the mental load & physical execution of every little thing (washing dishes, preparing food, showering, cleaning clothes) is an entire ordeal & the goalposts keep changing. As someone who needs a lot of routine and structure to thrive, this is an absolute nightmare.

Also - and this is very important - I'm now at the point where I don't have any clean socks. ☹️☹️☹️

Sorry, I should clarify. I do not independently run our branch of the WI. I am part of a robust committee of incredible women who run our group, Wells Angels. Between this and the ongoing water issues here in TW, our group chat is incandescent with rage.

I shudder to think how much plastic waste this outage has created as ~25,000 households have turned to bottled water as an alternative.

The entire situation is absurd. This country is in shambles.
