I got some fantastic gifts last week for my birthday . An LED face mask, a kindle colour, books, some vintage bookends, Amazon vouchers, skincare, crocs slippers, flowers, and this gorgeous set of shower foams. I have been very spoiled this year and feel incredibly grateful 💫💕🍷

Making the most of this last of 13 lovely days off before it’s back to the day grind. I have feet up, twinkles on, book open, a nice soothing asmr room in the background. Chicken stew on the menu tonight with stock made from yesterdays roast, and a nice crusty loaf 💕💫🍷

Marvin and his dicky ticker have made it to his 1st birthday! He’s still a little titch (2.8kg) but is a delightfully active and playful baby, who is loved and spoiled 🩵🥰

My time of year is here.Embrace the shorter days,light the twinkles,get the cosy blankets out. Sort a stack of books and line up the telly schedule. Today we have a nail biting Arsenal match followed by all of the above. Tonight we dine on pork and apple sausages with all the roast trimmings 💫🍷💕🍂🍁

Bonus day off today, so spent it recharging my batteries. Marv has a poorly toe bean,touched the sandwich toaster when it was on, he is a bit sorry for himself. We are off to vets tomorrow anyway, so will get them to check (I soaked it in cold water and can’t see anything, but he is holding it up) 🐾

Project keep Marvin off the mantelpiece is go. I googled ideas. The first one was that the smell of ripe banana is repellant, so I placed one there which he knocked down and tried to eat. Now trying a strip of sellotape with coffee granules stuck to it. He doesn’t like that. Might be winning 🤞😂🩵

Omg, they are both so handsome. This is my Hank, we lost him very suddenly in January. He was my familiar. Marvin arrived in February to heal our hearts ♥️

I’ve had such a lovey day. Went and got my hair done, bought 7 new books to add to my pile to see me through, 2 new loungewear sets, and a wine glass. Cottage pie for tea and some Below Deck on the telly.Bring on the darker evenings, I’m ready 💫💕🍷
