I got some fantastic gifts last week for my birthday . An LED face mask, a kindle colour, books, some vintage bookends, Amazon vouchers, skincare, crocs slippers, flowers, and this gorgeous set of shower foams. I have been very spoiled this year and feel incredibly grateful 💫💕🍷

Making the most of this last of 13 lovely days off before it’s back to the day grind. I have feet up, twinkles on, book open, a nice soothing asmr room in the background. Chicken stew on the menu tonight with stock made from yesterdays roast, and a nice crusty loaf 💕💫🍷

I stick by my judgement that Alex is being overmarked and Bav is being undermarked, because I can see little difference between their performances #Strictly

I wanted to deck the halls this weekend but was vetoed because it’s apparently “too early” ( someone couldn’t be doing with getting everything out of the loft at short notice )

The tv signal in my mums block has gone kaput, so she is coming to stay with us for the weekend. Tonight we are dining on surf and turf (just turf for me) fillet steak and scampi with chips, peas, grilled tomatoes and a peppercorn sauce. For our viewing pleasure, Strictly, live from Blackpool 💕💫🍷💃🏻🪩

Marvin and his dicky ticker have made it to his 1st birthday! He’s still a little titch (2.8kg) but is a delightfully active and playful baby, who is loved and spoiled 🩵🥰

38 years ago today my mum and dad dropped me off at Salton House, the nurses home in the middle of Paddington to begin my nurse training at St Mary’s. I was 18, and so began my education in life, love and nursing, and oh boy, what an education it was !

I was just unravelling Marvin’s mouse on elastic, cos he was itching to play with it and he got inpatient and twanged it straight into my eyeball ! Anyway it’s hanging in the doorway now all ready to play with, so he has gone for a nap 🤬

We went on holiday to Spain in 2003. On the last night, we went out for a meal and our villa was burgled and all our mobile phones were taken, with other things. We had no reason to take them with us when we went out, all they did was make/receive calls. I can’t imagine leaving my phone behind now
