Daily #Wales with a spot more archaeology. Honest - it’s an Iron Age hut circle.

Walls, heaped and overgrown, are still about a metre higher than the centre, and the entrance is clear.
A rough, round enclosure in golden autumn sunlight. The entrance dip is framed by two gnarled hawthorns.

Daily #Wales back in summer again, as we had snow on the tops yesterday. Hm.
A pub terrace, white wrought iron seats and table in the filtered shade of trees. It looks out over the wooden bridge at Penmaenpwll; green hills on the far side of the sunlit estuary.

More harking back from Daily #Wales, but today (following a chat with friends yesterday) looking back to the snowy winter of 2010/11. Pretty but a pain in the arse - particularly when falling over.

An avalanche of coal waste slid down the mountain, burying 18 houses and destroying the school, where the day had just started. 116 children died, as did 28 adults.
A broken clock, frozen at the moment the slurry heaps hit.
