“Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression.”

Iowa native, Kentucky ELD teacher. JCTA Board member-elect. Mom to a very cool 5th grader.

If I win the lottery, I’m quitting it all (except the mom stuff) to devote my life to Lindy Hop and Balboa).
Part of being an elected official is getting feedback, positive or negative, fair or unfair. You can puff up and throw down your bonafides, or you can take a minute and reflect. What is the sentiment that led people to react so strongly to what can fairly be seen as a blip? What do voters want?

I live in your district, I’ve met you, and I like and respect you. However, I am deeply, deeply sad and disappointed that Marjorie Taylor Greene is speaking about the genocide in Gaza and you aren’t, as far as I’ve seen. What level of suffering is enough? How many dead children?

This a great piece! Thanks for writing it. Mr. Lander should give us all hope that integrity matters still in American politics.
