Every time I hear someone tell their kids that I secretly think “No, don’t listen to them! Grab as many books as you can and run!” Which although that’s terrible library practice, it would satisfy my conscious as a literacy advocate 😂

I’ve never understood the “audiobooks don’t count as reading” argument. Before there were physical books, there was oral storytelling. In a way, “audiobooks” came first!
