i used to point to waymo as the only real, "responsible" level 5 company. this was back when cruise was running over & dragging cyclists, when tesla was falsely claiming L5 but offering L2 & causing gruesome underride crashes, but no longer. they all know they won't be held accountable & act as such

while i think embark going with text-to-speech instead of hiring voice actors for arc raiders is prob a sin, the lack of apparent story coherence and a clear endgame goal feels more egregious. you've this incredibly vibrant world topside but no sign of closure/progression outside of pvpve. why??

The responses to the WSJ article (among others) re: GOP wanting to cut out auto emergency braking requirements among other proven-to-be-effective ADAS features have improved, but there's a not insignificant portion of responses who see this specific tech as the same as ChatGPT. It is not even close!
If the experts on both the pro- and anti- side of this can't differentiate between different forms of very complex technology with very different implementations and consequences, we are so goddamn cooked.
