The genocide is not near, it is present. The Genocide Convention definition clearly includes what's happening now. We don't need to be pushed into literal ovens for it to count as genocide. The point was to recognize and define it before it comes to that.

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion. My take here is that Meta is intentionally tearing trans communities apart. I think they're making the platform hostile to us with the intent of destroying the communities that have been built there.
