Most of this younger separatist (and 51st state) sentiment are from men that are red-pilled. As a young-ish woman, I don’t think people take it seriously enough at a larger level that we have to actually live and work with these guys.

This makes sense though because in a lot of western democracies, these folks that have turned to right-wing populism actually have a lot in common with what social democracy parties have traditionally offered.
