These numbers are embarrassingly low. Only the Baltic countries and the Scandinavian countries are really doing much noteworthy. This is the most important war for the west in most of our lifetimes (unless you are 80+ years old) and the Ukrainians are bravely fighting on all of our behalfs.

No reason for Trump to continue to threaten NATO countries. Every non-US NATO country except Croatia, has massively increased defense spending over the last 10 years and most countries now exceed the required 2% of GDP. I made the graph with official numbers from www.nato.int.

I get your point, but still. I don't see the politically illeterate use twitter to anywhere near the same extent as Facebook or Youtube and there is a ton of misformation on those platforms.

I agree with France, but they really should put their money where their mouths are, as evidenced by this table of Ukraine aid as a percentage of GDP up until end of august 2024.

The diploma divide exploded in 2024. Democrats absolutely have to figure out how to communicate to the less educated. Should be doable given that these people are largely voting against their own interests, when they vote for R's. First step is probably to not speak like college professors. #USPOL

Aid to Ukraine by % of GDP up until the end of august 24. The US is the largest donor in absolute value, but very low relative to GDP. The 3 "great powers" of Europe should basically be ashamed. Only Scandinavia and Eastern Europe seem to really take this seriously.

Until recently, none of these three lunatics would have a snowballs chance in hell of getting confirmed by the US senate. But then we didn't have one party whose sole goal in life seems to be to support their dear leader whatever he does. #USPOL

The inflation crisis has effectively been over for quite a while now, but watch it return if Trump succesfully implements his mad tariff and mass deportation plans.
