Such a good film, especially the verbal jousting between a rigid Peter Cushing and suave André Morell. I bought this on release and the picture quality is excellent.

It does. I always watch it late at night without any lights on for maximum effect.

Night of the Eagle is a good choice, I only ruled it out as I watched it recently. Ghostwatch is a bit of a tradition on Samhain as I watched the original broadcast in 1992 open-mouthed and scared witless thinking it was real. It still gives me goosebumps.

No worries, it's just a shame they cancelled Murder Rooms without giving it a good run. It is very much the same as the Doctor, each with their own mannerisms and quirks. It's why we love them.

I find it very hard to choose between Brett, Cushing and Rathbone as I love them all equally. 'Murder Rooms: The Dark Beginnings of Sherlock Holmes' is up there as a favourite for me as well, it just oozes Gothic atmosphere. Ian Richardson (who also played Holmes) is sublime as Dr Joseph Bell.

It's going to get interesting if anyone from 11-15 goes down injured.

Later that morning, while out on training, the crew were diverted after a 999 call reported a kayak in difficulty south of the power station. A search was carried out and everyone was found safe.

A reminder: if you see someone in trouble at sea, please call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. 💙
