I got new sneakers this week and blew my mind to learn I’ve generally been wearing a half size too small because my ankles are slender vis-a-vis the length of my foot. Even the one that I broke is still slender, and I have to use a fancy lacing technique. I find this unaccountably hilarious 🤣

My response was to grin and say I am librarian adjacent, since I’m a university professor in the humanities. And in their defense, I did get REALLY excited about a beautiful ornate card catalog

My two beloveds both came to me from our local shelter. I miss Violet dearly and loved her more than I thought possible. And my heart bursts with how much I love Izkia and her goofy ways
