When people say rye-k everyone gets quiet and then someone takes them aside to explain why we don’t use that pronunciation. It would be funny if it were fiction.

I have kanban system for the day itself — a post it note for each dish and the cupboard doors for the board. The post its move from not started -> prep -> assemble -> cook/bake -> ready -> table.

I haven’t forgotten a dish since I started this system.

I just got a mini cpap for use while traveling, especially for overnight trips (it’s FAA approved!). It’s adorable! So wee! 2/3 of a pound!

This is the first time that my carryon strategy won’t be centered on managing a resmed airsense, 2+ feet of awkward tubing, a mask and the cord.

Some things take more than one try because they are so difficult and imagining life on the other side is impossible-leaving an abuser, no longer relying on addictive substances, transitioning in the face of hatred and shaming. Every try takes courage, trying 2 or 5 or 10 times is not cowardice.

Shingles was rough. and a typhoid shot left me wandering Florence in a mild feverish haze as a student.
