#ArtAdventCalendar day 11. I went to a figure drawing event last night so here’s a 10 minute sketch. There was no room left on the floor so I got a spot on the balcony, which definitely added to the challenge!

#ArtAdventCalendar day 8. I made this during my PhD fieldwork. It’s painted with bitumen collected from the tar sands (or oil sands) in Alberta. At the time, the Albertan government had just announced a wolf cull to protect endangered wood bison, which are in fact threatened by resource development.

Team takahe all the way! I used sit and drink coffee with the retired takahe couple living at Zealandia in Wellington. They made the cutest noises walking around me. They were also very good at hide and seek.

Wildfire smoke is BAD today. Thankful to my past self for making some air purifiers. This one is Dr. Who themed! #CleanAir #CRBox
