This is a widespread GOP belief, that people who get sick have somehow brought it upon themselves, and it underlies all their horrible healthcare initiatives. Cheap junk policies for the “healthy,” high-risk gulags with minimal coverage at exorbitant prices for the sick, who somehow asked for it.

We know what those ideas are. Undo all ACA protections and subsidies, bring back junk plans, let insurance companies reject or dump people with preexisting conditions, and stick ppl with pre-ex conditions in unfunded high-risk pools with garbage coverage and exorbitant premiums. That’s the plan.
