A rare bit of good news: a federal judge just ruled DHS can’t use the government shutdown as an excuse to stall our border wall lawsuit while construction barrels ahead through critical jaguar habitat in the San Rafael Valley.

The Senate wants to immediately sell off 3 million acres of your public lands to billionaires. No hearings. No environmental review. No public input.

We’re fighting back. 100+ groups just told the Senate: HANDS OFF OUR PUBLIC LANDS.

My statement on DHS waiving 30 enviro laws to speed border wall construction:

"This waiver is another cynical attack by the Trump administration on border communities and wildlife, who deserve the same protections that prevail everywhere else in the country.

Yesterday, DHS waived dozens of enviro protection laws to rush construction of a border wall through rugged terrain in California.

Legal filings state that this section "presents some of the greatest topographic, geotechnical, and drainage challenges of any barrier project CBP has ever undertaken."

Approximately 20 members of Elon Musk’s staff have begun working within the Education Department. They have gained access to multiple sensitive internal systems, including a financial aid dataset containing the personal information of millions of students enrolled in the federal student aid program.

Thank goodness for these humanitarian workers who refuse to give up.
For the past two years, religious and humanitarian organizations have provided food and aid to migrants at a camp near Sasabe. Just before Donald Trump took office, volunteers were told to clear off federal land.

The Air Force wants to dramatically increase low altitude combat training missions across Arizona’s wilderness areas, Tribal nations & wildlife refuges — a reckless plan that endangers communities & wildlife alike.

We’ll continue to fight this expansion every step of the way.

Big peer-reviewed study published today: "USA-Mexico border wall impedes wildlife movement."

Researchers found an 86% reduction in wildlife crossings where walls were built and a 100% reduction crossings of large animals like mountain lions, deer & bears.

A Bateleur Eagle struts his stuff 🕺!

Bateleur Eagles are often seen standing upright in a "phoenix" pose, with their wings held out to the sides and tipped up as they turn to face the sun.

Their habitat ranges over most of Africa south of the Sahara Desert.
