Rural Texas mail carrier that likes spinny wind
All of this. European honeybees are livestock and so long as we farm them, they’ll never go extinct. It’s all the native ‘pests’ people spray their yards for that are in serious decline!
Beekeeping is a livestock industry, not a part of nature. A lot of money and effort is spent to make you think otherwise.
Hobbyist beekeepers are probably actually contributing to the decline of native bees. I'm happy to live in a city with a pollinator strategy that actively discourages them.

Today I went to brush yet another spider off my leg only to discover it was a WASP. To the guy that swerved around me on SH69 as I tried to simultaneously pull over to the shoulder, open my door, and not get stung…sorry, bro. #RuralCarrierAdventures
