Marx would've loved to see No Other Choice, its about workers in paper factories competing to survive. Is it the best film this year? IMO, it's not but it definitely is one of Chan-wook's most thought provoking films out there. There's alot of social commentary to take in here. #filmsky

#LateShift , going through eight hours of work in a nurses shoes was absolutely raw super tense & emotional! You better realize that all nurses are heroes! #filmsky

I'm not the biggest fan of Yorgos Lanthimos but I thought #Bugonia was interesting. You can interpret it as simple or as deep as you want, you make out of it what you want & overall it has some interesting ideas. Also, it carries a Hitchcockian vibe with it which I totally loved. #filmsky

Shelby Oaks was a letdown as for The Jacket I couldn't see anything interesting in that movie.

Someone mentioned Lady Snowblood to me & as I watched it I couldn't help but notice how much of it was copied onto Kill Bill similar scenes to music songs. I get that movies inspire one another but there's a thin line between hommage & artistic theft. Or are all ideas inspired by one another? 📽

I lost count of how many times I've seen #Drive throughout the years. It's hard to believe a filmmaker who's color blind directed one of the most beautifully colored films into existence. To me this is THE perfect flawless film that casts an everlasting charming spell on you. #filmsky

What a masterpiece of a show the first two episodes were. #Gilligan does it again it seems perfectly. Need to talk about this with anyone who's seen the show cause there are loads of iconic "moments" covered here. #Pluribus #tvsky

Halfway through #Posession and I'm not sure what I'm even watching. If marriage is like this I don't want to ever get married. This is just insane to watch. #horrorsky #filmsky

Also the film carried one of the most wicked & cruelest villains ever portrayed onscreen beautifully by Robert Mitchum.

I think #Sirat is the best movie I've seen all year, best go in blind no trailer. A father & son looking for the missing daughter in the middle of the Moroccan desert. A harrowing oddesy that just demands to be seen. Philosophically deep & meditative its really that good imo. #filmsky

So, according to the (Scientific American — “Evidence of ‘Negative Time’ Found in Quantum Physics Experiment”) time is not linear, there is no cause & no effects just loops and folds, interesting to say the least!

All were great!
Anemone: visceral & moving with a strong performance.
The Long Walk: dystopian sci-fi with themes of endurance & human resilience
House of Dynamite: tense watch & gripping.
Good Boy: A horror story from POV of a dog!

🧵 #AHouseOfDynamite on #Netflix is likely going to be the most divisive film this year. It's about 'what-if' the USA faced a nuclear attack. It tries to tell that story in a realistic manner following the chain of command from different perspectives. It's very tense & mostly - 1/2 #filmsky

I think im in the minority that loved #Anemone alot, about a broken father son relation, & I also might be in the minorty saying that even without DDL's presence the impact that this #film had wouldve been as profound. The visceral experience along with soundtrack is something to behold-1/3 #filmsky
