UPDATE: 8 Dems voted today to confirm yet another Trump nominee during Musk's coup: Bennett (CO), Gallego (AZ), Hassan (NH), Heinrich (NM), Hickenlooper (CO), King (ME), Lujan (NM), Shaheen (NH). If you're a constituent, don't just call - write an op-ed, protest their office, make clear you care.
The Senate takes 3 votes this afternoon:
1) Go into executive session to consider Russell Vought to be OMB Director
2) Cloture vote for Pam Bondi for Attorney General
3) Confirmation of Christopher Wright for Energy Sec

These should be 3 easy NO votes for Dems. Watch yours and provide that input.

Interim US attorney Ed Martin, whose office just fired a bunch of J6 prosecutors, is now telling Elon Musk they will prosecute anyone who "targets" DOGE employees. Presumably this is in response to a Wired article naming some, and a protest at OPM that occurred yesterday.

52 years ago today the Supreme Court issued its Roe v. Wade decision protecting the right to abortion in the Constitution.

We fight today not just to restore abortion rights nationwide, but also to expand access for every person — regardless of where we live or how much we make.

I’m not excusing this, but let’s not forget editorial independence went the way of the dodo years ago at major media outlets. There is no firewall between business and editorial anymore, so the fascist makes their jobs easier. Once again the problem is large corporations and the excessively rich.
White House reporters are excited that after four years of boring interviews with subject-matter experts they now get the adrenaline rush that comes from the personal attention of a president who threatens to have them executed. www.cjr.org/political_pr...
