While the killing of Charlie Kirk is reprehensible, he is not deserving of adoration for his life's work which - when examined thoughtfully - is nothing more than a hateful, dehumanizing legacy. I see no Christ in his version of Christianity. He is not the role model any of us should aspire to be.

Where are the voices of the true followers of Christ? Your silence is deafening. I no longer subscribe to this religion, but according to your Bible, you will be judged by how you treated the least of these - including strangers. Go re-read Matthew 25. And then, speak up and do something.

Ten years ago I escaped Evangelical Christianity. And, although our nation is imperfect in many ways, here is a list (which I am certain is incomplete) for the record of what is unfolding. We still have a choice to resist, reclaim, reimagine & rebuild something better. We must do better.
