It’s only Americanism if it’s from the Constitutionally-sound region of federal policy. Otherwise, it’s just sparkling fascism.

It’s only Americanism if it’s respectful of all nations of North and South America.

Been thinking about this movie a lot lately, for no particular reason.

My daughter has decided to read The Very Hungry Caterpillar to our garden tonight. Here are a few of the reasons why.

Fox News is presumably trying to make the fascist’s birthday parade seem exciting, but the total lack of sound other than the slow squeaking of the tanks is more reminiscent of a Mel Brooks parody of a fascist’s birthday parade.

My Rep is very Republican, but this is maybe the biggest piece of propaganda I have seen from him so far. The email goes on about how Biden put coal and natural gas power plants into “early retirement.”

Vance is such an embarrassment. Even if you’ve never opened a history book in your life but watched The X-Files in the 1990s, you know about Operation Paper Clip and the HUNDREDS of German scientists it brought to the US and their contributions to space and military technology programs.

It is impossible to tell with these people if they are willfully ignorant of the wide range of specialties the title “Dr.” encompasses, or if they genuinely think this is a gotcha.
Either way, they just look like stupid assholes.

How it started/how it’s going:

Partner and I have a shared garage sale list for things we want but won’t pay full price for. I added “cement goose.” He barely questioned it, especially when I mentioned a desire to “dress it up in gay shit.”

Anyway, we now have 2 cement geese.

“Can I get a game called minesweeper?”
I think I was just transported back to 1993, but yes, child.

#currentlyreading The Calculating Stars by Mary Robinette Kowal and thinking about what Elma would perceive Jeff Bezos and Katy Perry today while NASA is losing its best and brightest - and also that she would really like Amanda Nguyen.

My daughter really chose the right week to put her “Votes for Women” button on her backpack. The House of Representatives may be voting on the SAVE act this week - a bill that stands to disenfranchise millions of Americans (including women who changed their names when they married).

500 people at my small, rural community’s Hands Off protest today. Only a handful of hecklers, and we drowned them out by chanting “Protect the Constitution.”

So, these Musk bootlickers think that “free enterprise” looks like “protecting” someone else’s business interests for free on your day off (instead of upholding free speech rights), while the person whose business you’re protecting steals your taxpayer $ and data.
And eliminates all oversight. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I have long wondered if TFG and his people are depraved, incompetent, or both.
The last several weeks combined with today’s headlines of absolute stupidity tell me…both.

1: Eliminate phone support so people in rural areas can’t access support from home.

2: Eliminate public libraries, which is where those people would then go to get support online.

3: People in rural areas can no longer get assistance, so do whatever you want to their Social Security? 🤔
