Continuing a theme of Labour not following up work done in opposition.

The government team is more or less the opposition team, so in the absence of a better explanation it seems someone said everything (with a few exceptions) starts over. Thereby losing the early days goodwill.

Very odd.
The announcement of Louise Casey's adult care commission essentially means the Fabian Society inquiry and report on adult care reform that Wes Streeting commissioned in opposition - which reported in 2023 - was essentially a waste of time

Not presumably the Whitehall machinery taking a bath to explain why the UK government hasn't said any more about EU relations since election. Purely political decision. Not the red lines either, this is about fleshing out a realistic joint action plan which has to involve more detail from the UK.

Don't understand why my MP finds it necessary to join other MPs to discuss "closure of post offices".

He assured us before the election that Labour would bring banking back to the High Street - more banking hubs (such as PO counters), not just fighting to keep the ones there already.
