anyway, I continue to find data that is fucked up in our system (these posts brought to you by eventually discovering 9 people who have two current subscriptions for the same product) which is why our data architect said this to me last week

in my defense this is what building that filter looks like in hubspot. you can choose 'is more than' or 'is less than', and 'days from now' or 'days ago'.

(there are other options too, but 'is more than' and 'is less than' are the only ones where you can use a relative date.)

the one thing that may hold up my ability to get more data skills and therefore a promotion (here or elsewhere) is my brain absolutely always wants to pick the incorrect way to "End date is more than 0 days ago."

“speeding is fine” is in the discourse and gotta love this reply in one of the threads. sorry hun, your car cannot defy the laws of physics and your brain can’t react any faster than it can react.

This was the pic that got him on cuteness overload (for “Nosevember”)
December 12, 2025 at 8:09 PM
Blink Dog was featured on the cuteness overload blog back in its heyday which was always a source of pride. my favorite pic of him is this one, after he had gotten into my knitting and strewn green yarn all across the floor, just standing in the middle of the chaos like “look what i did!”

oh my GODDDDD now bitly is doing it? i don't need AI to build a shortlink or a QR code for FUCK'S SAKE.
December 11, 2025 at 4:18 PM
oh my god they just keep adding more copilot crap to word and i can't turn it off 😡

the three prompt suggestions have been there for a while and my eyes have gotten used to skipping over them but the new larger prompt box is new. for the love of fucking god let me do my JOB with my BRAIN.

He also does this if I have my elbows on the table. He’ll just stand there with his snoot like that.

when your snoot is table height and your human suddenly is letting you sniff her breakfast

Here’s the oats recipe I’ll shut up now.

Poor greyhound legs and feet are not really made for snowy icy winters. (The raw spots are shiny because I just applied pet-safe balm to his paw pads and on the ouchies)

Lighting our weirdest architectural feature always makes me happy. (Bonus Frank in distance.)

Continuing the college nostalgia trip with another punk band w all caps typeface, even though I can’t find their actual 90s albums on streaming (but I have them at home bc they were my friends)
November 22, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Gym music, continued (theme: punk/hardcore bands from the 90s with all caps typefaces)

Frank’s Poofy Lip is out of control rn.

We lost Winston, the most floofiest and dignified of cats, at the ER and it suckled a lot but at least there wasn’t the added rage at the supposed experts letting it happen. (I have enough rage for them about what they did to Roxy of course.)

for the love of fucking god i do not need AI to help me create a property in a database, hubspot! and it certainly shouldn't be the first line offering, with "create manually" a tiny link at the bottom of the window.

Caught some more this morning while walking Frank. Once again all I could see was a hint of red with the naked eye.
November 12, 2025 at 12:13 PM
I could only see the faintest hint of red but my camera got this from our skylight

We are positioned terribly with a south facing backyard and too many trees in front but I’m glad I thought to check the skylights.
