This is the bestest place for the most perfect boy. We gave dad some space and raced the beaches. I was off leash for a long time. I ate soooo much seafood ( it’s organic), sniffed everything, left my mark everywhere and posed for mom. Sandbanks is glorious. Life of Chum.

Since we got Chum at 13 months, we have no “baby” pictures of him. We were overjoyed to receive these shots of him at 3 months. He’s 8 now and we think he’s still adorable.

I’ve been acting as an emotional support dog for my dad‘s friend. He’s going through a rough time. To help me recharge we went to my favourite island, Hunts. That meant I got a boat ride, Zumiez, runs everywhere, adventures, and a mud bath. It was the bestest day. Life of Chum.

I’ve been acting as an emotional support dog for my dad‘s friend. He’s going through a rough time. To help me recharge we went to my favourite island, Hunts. That meant I got a boat ride, Zumiez, runs everywhere, adventures, and a mud bath. It was the bestest day. Life of Chum.
It’s very mind cleansing to spend time at our little fishing cabin. Our only outside contact is our tiny transistor radio with CBC. Time slows down here.

Today we went to the resettled community of Hunts Island. It is a gorgeous place with tons of history. There’s something very special about being able to take one of my closest friends to this beautiful place. So close to Burgeo you can see it from the hills.

My favourite place is our Seal Brook cabin. My grandparents had a place here and everywhere I look I’m reminded of how lucky I am to be able to spend time here. I hope you all have a place that makes you happy and at peace.

I was at the most marvellous place in the world. Our Seal Brook cabin. I played, slept where I wanted, fought sticks, may have had a mud bath, watched the sunset and cuddled with mom and dad. I also had a swim or two. life of Chum.

@bernicecb.bsky.social This little radio allows us to get CBC radio at our Swimming Hole cabin. There’s no cell service and we access the cabin by canoe. CBC radio is invaluable here especially for forest fire updates, weather and NL news. It’s our lifeline.

It’s been a very very busy 10 days with company. My final beach trip was a refresher course for my nephew George to teach him how to be a golden. I’m exhausted. Life of chum.

I’m home!!! I’m the happiest boy! I checked on my toys who had to stay home, sniffed each bag as mom and dad brought them in and made sure the gulls knew the wharf inspector was back. Life of Chum.

I’m homeward bound. I’ve had a steak bone eating, campground sniffing, lake and ocean swimming, new friend making, golden glitter spreading, loot bag filling kind of holiday. Got to get home and check on my favourite wharves. Life of Chum.

We went from hotspot heat to cool and comfortable. Getting the royal treatment at D&Js. Trying out all the sleeping spots. Mom keeps talking about some famous PEI bridge she can see but all I see is delicious seaweed. Life of Chum.

It’s vacation time cause mom is something called retired. I’m living it up. Both parents at my beck and call, huge wharf inspection and big boat travel, inspecting the smells in some place called Nova Scotia. Boat rides, tons of swimming, snacks, new friends and my own couch and fan. Life of Chum.
