This is Mykhailo Dianov, nearly 2 years after being freed in a 2022 prisoner swap that returned 215 Mariupol defenders. He endured torture and lost 4 cm of bone. Today, he helps veterans rebuild their lives.
As of June 2025, 8,000 Ukrainian soldiers remain in Russian captivity.
