As a small child I worshipped the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's production of Louise Lawrence's novel Andra. Tragically IIUC the video tapes were sent to Japan and have never been seen again.

Here's the god Horus spearing his evil rival Set in the form of a hippo. I'm partway through Moby Dick and thought of this image. The whale is oft supposed to be God, but could Ahab himself be a symbol of God, perpetually trying to stick a harpoon in evil? Or do I need to keep reading?
