Housing policy and funding is a choice as is road widening, funding of sports teams and transit cuts. Do we want to be a city where people die from the cold, suffer for lack of housing or food, but traffic is improved for some commuters? Or so sports teams have new stadiums and condos?

As the years have gone by, the
@ottawacitizen.com delivered to our door has become lighter & lighter. We've been asking ourselves how much longer we will continue with it.

Recently we rec'd notice that the price is ⬆️ by more than 40%. What???? Anyone else shocked by this?

I've heard from different paramedics about serious issues they face on the job. This research is overdue.

I first learned abt this charity in the #Ottawa Citizen & I have been following it for the past few years, incl attending an AGM.

In addition to the impact, something else that I find impressive: Donations are not used to pay admin costs - admin costs are paid by the volunteer Board of Directors.

Good morning #Ottawa - do you know about the "Help Our Students Program"? 100% of donations go directly to helping students.

It's been disheartening watching so many Ontario urban progressives either silent on or supportive of Mayors wanting to strip the Charter rights away from people experiencing homelessness.

Progressivism should be about defending the marginalized, not defending government.

A couple of days ago I saw someone sleeping in a tree planter container (Albert & Bay).

This pic from 2023 in the #GardenOfTheProvincesAndTerritories - beneath a fountain that doesn't work.

This is heartbreaking and unacceptable.
