@kaputnik-2006.bsky.social
I was there last week. I think seeing the Apollo 11 CM and Armstrong's suit is as close to a spiritual experience as I can personally get. The flown engines were a suprise, I hadn't realised that were in the same collection. This is stuff I've grown up reading about and here are the actual relics.

Thanks for sharing. It's heartbreaking and just leaves you with the feeling that the system is completely fucked up. There has to be a better way. I'm not sure how we get from here to there, though.
@zoejardiniere.bsky.social any thoughts?

In theory, perhaps. But we don't meet the convergence criteria so they wouldn't let us join the Eurozone.

I think there should be a limit on the number if properties anybody, or any company, should be able to own. With exceptions for things like student accommodation which are often big blocks owned by a company.

There needs to be provision to own more than one though... life is messy.

My son is really keen on sailing. Once he's got his own boat, he'll never have enough money to buy drugs!

Labelled Release experiment?

I think we can attack the Reform big names on a personal level. I'm not usually a fan of Ad Hominem arguments but we're not playing by the rules any more.
It's easy pickings, they're a bunch of woman abusing tax dodgers.

"Stopping the boats in two weeks" is Farage's "stopping the war on day one"

Both are utter bullshit

Both are believed only by the truly hard of thinking.

All those smug idiots who claimed he was an isolationist must be feeling pretty dumb now.

If only we had a way of transporting energy efficiently, quickly, and without creating any emissions or road congestion 🤷‍♂️🤔

I buy six buns and ten dogs. And then I put four dogs in special fried rice.

I BEAT THE SYSTEM

I would argue that Netenyahu also has the power to stop this, but I suppose he's a lost cause at this point.

Space Force is such a bad idea that even the combined talents of Steve Carrel, Lisa Kudrow, and John Malkovich can't make it any good.

Crucially, the Greens are open to Scottish independence, which makes them far more palatable to the progressive vote up here.
September 2, 2025 at 9:38 PM
Sadly that makes a lot of sense.

Brilliant!

I think the point is that SpaceX have different programs running.

Falcon 9- the world's most successful and reliable launch vehicle.

Dragon- the world's safest crew vehicle

Starlink- the cash cow

Starship- the highly ambitious shit show which gets all the attention

I'm only stating the facts.

I presume Ed Davey is trying to capitalise on this approach, which exposes its limitations: we've all seen him fall off a paddleboard but nobody can name any of his policies!
August 27, 2025 at 1:39 PM
Starship has been a bit of a shit show so far. But it is the most ambitious LV program ever attempted.

SpaceX is a private company, it's up to them how they develop their new vehicle.

Everybody laughed at F9 too now it basically *is* the western world's entire space program.
August 27, 2025 at 12:43 PM
Now go and look at F9's track record.
August 27, 2025 at 11:53 AM
Explain?
August 27, 2025 at 11:22 AM
When you look at SpaceX more broadly, not just Starship, they are utterly dominant in launch services outside of China. It's not even close to being close.

Thanks. I'm not a US resident so I don't have a rep or senator.
I've heard you can hire electric bikes or scooters to get around.
More research needed before I go...
