Just a 🇩🇰 Danish retro game enthusiast and novice translation romhacker
I remember the mini-games being somewhat decent.

The quiz part however were just horrendous.

Even more so for me and my brother who didn't speak any English back then xD

I really enjoyed New Pokemon Snap.

The name could probably have used a little more time in the oven tho

Funny enough, it was the birds themselves that sorta taught me about it.

I was sitting there one day, doing something with my hand, then a little bluetit flew up to in and hovered around for a bit.

And I figured that it thought I had food.
So I tried actually offering some and the rest is history

These squirrels in particular has been conditioned to associate people with food. Meaning you can usually call out for them and one will likely approach you

Some are super chill and comfortable while others are a little more cautious but for the most part, they will all come to you if you're calm

It's such a mentally cleansing and experience to go and feed the animals there

Especially the squirrels

There were actually a couple before them.. that's when I thought "I should record this"

Sometimes I take the nuts and crush/pulverize them into really tiny bits, as the bird will then often stay put in your hand for up to a minute to eat.

They weigh next to nothing ^w^

The world as a whole really got robbed out of something great here xD

For real tho, I would've loved to see what a National Treasure game could've played like.

Tbh, I have yet to play a Kirby themed game I didn't enjoy to some capacity.
Especially the mainline platformers.

Just imagine if Nintendo games dropped this much in price after such a short time.
November 27, 2025 at 7:49 AM
It really makes you wonder,
if the tech was indeed capable of allowing multi-region cartridges with such ease,
why was Nintendo so insistent on enforcing the whole region-lock practice during that gen, rather than making it optional for developers?

Ohmygosh.
I didn't even notice that when I wrote it xD

I guess this is just how long general media takes to catch on to slange from 20 years ago xD

The fun things is that in most countries, Hugo was usually part of early-morning children's programming

Where in Denmark he was part of a Primetime see show and it was only really adults who would call in to play.

I wanted to can in to play so badly xD
November 26, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Denmark basically invented the whole concept of people calling in during live-TV broadcasts to play games through their landline xD

It was an enjoyable game.
But extremely short.
And the backtracking was really not done very elegantly.

I'm a simple Dane.
I see Hugo, I like xD

Indeed, While Jumping Flash might be just out of the scope of a 4th gen console without some heavy compromises.

But Geograph Seal might just barely squeeze into the confines of the 32X's restrictions, with is slightly less demanding poly-count
