Bsky has made me realize I'm done with social media. I can't help but be annoyed at idiots grandstanding and wanting to correct them. But as you point out it's completely futile.

That right wings trolls can turn "neutral" medias into racist shitholes, but you never see sites turning into liberal bastions if they were not created that way. People don't want to get into the shit flinging trenches. Justifiably so, but it does have consequences.

I disagree with him because I think that leaving Musk with an empty worthless website is the better strategy, especially as "saving" the website without bot moderation is impossible.

But I do think there is truth to the rest of the thread cont.

I disagree with quite a few of the examples people have posted. It works best if the armor it is gender ambiguous and there is no way to know their gender, like Anri of Astora. Somehow knights armor has become a gendered thing when it shouldn't be.

The pager bombs where more targeted and preferable to the random bombing going on in Lebanon right now.

Marcellus Williams deserved a retrial, because of technical failures but that does not mean he was innocent and given the evidence he likely did it.

DOS2 is poorly balanced but in a fun way. There are plenty of broken abilities, but it does not have the tediousness of DND combat. There is also not working around rests and spell slots, it just gives you gloves of teleporting in the first town.

The prosecution agreed to a lesser sentence so that they could consider new evidence. Not overturn. There is still a lot of evidence that he most likely did it. But unlike the attorney general and SC the prosecution wants to do it right.

The amount of civilian injuries is likely also way smaller than conventional bombing or boots on the ground war. A lot of people seem upset about the collateral which is obviously terrible, but this seems like the least possible collateral you can get in assymetric warfare.

Hitman is fun, but "open world games where you can solve missions however you want" is not how I would describe it. Hitman is more like a Speedrun game with a deep toolbox. What you described sounds more like immersive sim games like Deus ex or prey.

So look at blades in the dark for reference. When you fail to pick a lock you alert the guards instead of nothing happening.

If this is your goal I think "failing forward" is a better approach. Instead of letting them retry every try changes the situation significantly enough that there is no retrying.

They wont't consumers make it too lucrative to make live service games. If AAA western live service fails. They will instead focus on mobile gacha games.

For the single issue left it's also never good enough. She could give 90% and they would still be upset. And it's not like they vote to begin with.

The economy is vibes. If people vibe enough green line go up. If enough people think there is too few vibes red line go down.

I think people who wanted to engage in good faith already got your point and people who wanted to dunk, dunked. Some people care more about statistics than others might as well let it go.

Congratulations! Working for a non-profit sounds very rewarding. It's a pivot I very much consider after hearing about the book "moral ambition".
