Seeing these two random posts one after another on my timelines is feeling a little too on-the-nose.
Two posts: the first is a 4-panel comic in which a character shaped like a bulb with the word "Brand" on its forehead, saying "have you seen our new christmas ad?". I own a 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness edition. I love it. Recently it was in the shop for a week and the dealership gave me a new 2025 Outback as a loaner.

It felt somehow... cheaper? I don't know how to explain it but when I got my 2022 back today it felt like moving up to a more premium vehicle.

Core memory: This book series changed my life as a kid. It's what got me into fantasy, D&D, and RPG video games. I LOVED them. I used the "close eyes and point your pencil randomly at the grid to roll 1d10" thing (but I'd kinda cheat), until I realized that 10 sided dice EXISTED, which led me to D&D
