LFC fan, California transplant. Maybe back to Europe as The US is becoming a shithole for dumbasses.
Well if that’s how you feel then I’m sorry I shoved my opinion in your face. Just ignore it.

No worries, I’ll just unfollow. If you can’t take in anything when you’ve made up your mind them I won’t waste my time. Good luck mate.

I never said you don’t understand grief. I don’t think you’re taking into account the physiological effects of grief on players performance. That’s a big difference.

And block me if you want 😂

Dude, I’m not denying any of those issues. I see them too. I don’t know why we press up front with no backup instead of dropping. I don’t know why Chris’s doesn’t play. I’m not calling you a liar. I’m pointing out something huge that is being overlooked most places.
November 27, 2025 at 3:40 AM
There’s a ton of information out there if you google it - Impact of grief and loss on athletic performance in elite athletes - It’s 100% a major factor in performances this season. The other issues are there too. But when you’re cooked, everything on the pitch gets worse.
November 27, 2025 at 3:38 AM
You’re glossing over it completely - “The biggest problems are very much his fault” - “We’re just shit, shit tactical plan, shit performances”

You don’t see it as a big deal. We’ll know more as the years roll by, but I think most fans are massively underestimating the impact. The signs are there.
November 27, 2025 at 3:31 AM
In the Captains words - “We always knew this was going to be a difficult season”

I don’t know how you can dismiss the Jota effect so easily. Whether it affected pre-season alone, or it drained some of the players, just cos you can’t measure it doesn’t mean it’s not real.
November 27, 2025 at 3:20 AM
I’m not desperate at all. I’m just trying to look at all factors. Everything you’ve described could be just laziness. It could be lack of fitness, nervous system exhaustion, overtraining too. But what big thing changed last season to this that could have caused these big negative changes?
November 27, 2025 at 3:17 AM
They’re not competing/closing space quickly enough. Virgil is stating that. What do you expect him to add? It’d sound like an excuse.
November 27, 2025 at 2:54 AM
Yes, as a team. Also, individually, everyone except Dom and Mo are way down. And every top speed of every player is lower than last season.
November 27, 2025 at 2:11 AM
Here’s something I’ve been mulling over - the physical effect of grief on the body. Just found out that we’re 20% down in sprints this season. Only Mo and Dom are close to last season. Given that in the PL you have to win the fight before you get to play - that’s a huge factor
November 27, 2025 at 1:36 AM
I think everybody is wildly underestimating the impact of Diogo’s death. The added delay in getting Isak, no-go of Guehi and late start to pre-season made it a really difficult season that Slot has managed poorly.
November 27, 2025 at 12:36 AM
I would too, but can he create the momentum and drive to get the players over this hump? Can he adjust the team to compensate for its weaknesses? Can help them carry the weight of Diogo’s passing?

I see no evidence of it. Still hoping but I’d be talking with him about it if I ran the club.
November 27, 2025 at 12:17 AM
Take today, Virgil was playing volleyball in the area. Konate was chasing thin air and 2 pivotal goals are not Slots fault.

Managing the setup is on Slot. Lots of problems with that too. Blame who you want the most. We’re splitting hairs, I guess.
November 27, 2025 at 12:13 AM
Sure. I wasn’t saying everything Slot has done is fine. He’s papering over cracks poorly and I doubt he what is needed to lift the players out of their malaise. The initial cracks aren’t his fault though.
November 27, 2025 at 12:10 AM
Then you reframed it to prove your point 👌🏽
November 26, 2025 at 11:52 PM
I didn’t say that. I said the biggest problems aren’t his fault.
November 26, 2025 at 11:42 PM
Sure, but they’re not the biggest problems.

He also won the league last season with the exact team that couldn’t win the league before him.
November 26, 2025 at 11:19 PM
Recruitment left holes. Jota died and it’s hit everyone very hard.
November 26, 2025 at 11:12 PM
I’m not sure that the biggest problems are actually his fault. I’m also not sure that he can turn it around.
November 26, 2025 at 10:40 PM
He still hasn’t won away to one of the Top 4 😂
November 24, 2025 at 10:34 PM
Absolutely. Ali checked his dive cos he was affected by N’Doye and loses sight of the ball as it goes around him. Donnaruma never lost sight of the ball flight.
November 23, 2025 at 2:34 AM
Looks like a trek in Lord of the Rongs
November 23, 2025 at 2:31 AM
Sure that’s an issue, but the first goal was a set piece 2nd ball and the second was a set defense where we had 2 mistakes in a row. The game was gone then. We need some serious focus on defensive intensity.
