It happened again.

I went and added support for audiolink's ColorChord and theme colours, remapping the band intensity to an arbitrary range (I think you could even invert it by swapping the max and min values), the ability to speed up the pathing, and audiolink secondary effects for each channel.

I added some new functionality.

This is some simple fallback emission cycling when AudioLink isn't available for whatever reason, prompted by the lack of AudioLink when I was trying to show off the hard work I'd done. This is what you make me do, @kudalyn.bsky.social!

This is finally finished enough for me to want to show it off! The shader is made with shaders.orels.sh but the AudioLink module is completely written by me. I'm really pleased with how this has turned out, and it's been a right journey debugging the shader and my AudioLink textures.

I *think* this is done now. It feels like it might be verging on too busy, but I'll probably need to leave it to rest for a bit before I can decide that, maybe also get some opinions on it. There *are* a lot of dots, though, I might go and prune some of them out...

A new WIP, again taking the place of today's sketch. I've refined the design a lot since the first draft, and I really like the direction this is going in. I took my time with it, so I haven't done all of it yet, but I think a few more sessions with it will get it into a really good spot.

Not a 2D sketch but I'm counting it because I spent an hour and a half on this. It's only a first draft, of course, but valuable nonetheless since I now have a much better idea of where I want to go with this design.

I missed yesterday so this is now day 9. This came out... ok. The face looks a bit off, and the paws did not come out well, I think I need to specifically practice paws from good close-up pictures.

Day 8 sketch, the muzzle came out a little short but it still came out really well. With a bit of fur texture to break up the edges, this could be really good.

Day 6! Almost at a week, here's another fox drawn by eye from a photo. Thank god for @foxes.hourly.media. I think I'm getting better at this, though I'm still nowhere near being able to draw a fox without a reference.

Day... 5? Yeah, I think I just forgot to post yesterday. Yesterday was a fox sketch from memory, today is a pumpkin. It actually turned out pretty ok.

I've just found out my parents' cat has been diagnosed with cancer and is going to be put down next week. I don't have too many pictures of him, but here's a selection of those I do, ranging over the last decade.

I've been learning shaders! Specifically using shaders.orels.sh as a starting point, and then writing my own modules for the extra functionality I need. Shown here are the dithering and decal modules I've made.
