Re: alignment. If AI is being trained on world literature, I think 99% of the time good triumphs over evil and even when it doesn't, it is usually expressed that the outcome isn't what was supposed to happen. I'm not saying we shouldn't worry about alignment but we should be more optimistic.

I think all congressional hearings should start with the question, "Do you know how to answer a yes/no question?" followed by "What are the possible answers to a yes/no question?" followed by "Did you understand the previous two questions?" Then proceed with the rest of the hearing.
