This is a tangent but I was reading the late great Elsepth King's book The Hidden Histories of Glasgow's Women. Did you know the first person in Scotland to be threatened with poinding (seizing your belongings) and a warrant sale for not registering for the Poll Tax was Janette McGinn,

Ayr is a hotbed of these - there’s a music shop called Ayr Guitar. My top favourite of all time is the barbers in Rothesay called Wesley Snips

Ha a timeless classic! Was just saying to someone else, despite that particular variant being, for me, an abosolute riddy, it is still a quality outfit - the ol' denims, graphic t-shirt, overshirt combo

Ahh that's horrendous about the overnight stress, but so glad to hear it's more of a 'keep an eye on this' situation <3

It was a complete riddy in hindsight but I still look back on it quite fondly. Also tbh I never grew out of the truest and best outfit formula: the classic 'trainers + denims + graphic t-shirt + overshirt'

They are always at the cowp at Polmadie! Genuinely often pause mid-stuffing cardboard into the compressor to watch them. The noise they make is so joyful as well
