If you want the reader to have both stories at the top of mind when they reach the point of convergence, I would arrange it so that chapter 1 is character A, chapter 2 is character B, and so on.
Of course you can write in whatever order you like and rearrange later, which is what I do.

So much depends on the story itself. Do you want the reader to have the entire context of the story before they experience the second (or third, and so on) POV? Or do you want them to experience the story from the various POVs simultaneously? Just my $0.02.

Once, I googled "cat keeps throwing up" because, well, my cat kept throwing up. The AI suggested I check my cat's oil, but didn't specify which orifice to stick the dipstick in.
