Writer. Reluctant human. Feeder of cats.
Breakfast of Champions was the first Vonnegut novel I ever read, so naturally I was intrigued by the film adaptation. Turns out that the removal of voice/interiority from the narrative makes for insanity, and not the good kind. Egads.

What I thought was a 2 is actually a 5, and my latest migraine has me at a consistent 8-9, whereas before I would have rated it a humble 6. The more you know...

Long ago, I worked at a yoga studio in Santa Monica. I grew up under a rock, so I didn't recognize Bill Murray when he came in. It was early and the other staff hadn't arrived yet. I had to pull him out to get him to move his motorcycle out of the driveway. Didn't realize who he was for a few days.

To be absolutely clear: RFK framing vaccines as the "cause" of Autism is eugenics. First and foremost its wrong by every scientific standard. But also theres an implication that we need to "cure" or prevent Autism. Neurodivergence is not a bad thing.

I love a good house dress. The right one is comfortable enough to wear to bed. Choose a patterned one, and nobody will know that you're covered in cat hair. Bonus: people will think you're fancy.

Attic Room - An Uplifting True Story in 6 Skeets

During the pandemic, we (three humans and two cats) moved, temporarily, in with my mother-in-law. We thought being closer to family would help with the isolation. But my mother-in-law's house was small, so we had to sleep in an unfinished attic room.

Day 5 (or is it 6?) of illness, and I'm still cranking out a minimum of words. Those words will either be very very good or... Very very bad.

I'm just going to go ahead and assume that things on the national stage will be then more terrible, spiteful, and stupid than I can possibly imagine. That way, I can hopefully focus on the real work of tending my garden, gathering emergency supplies, and getting to know my neighbors better.
